In such a situation, if you have to change your address in your Aadhaar card, then you can also get it done through your electricity bill.
this is the process
First of all you have to go to UIDAI’s website https://uidai.gov.in/. After this, go to MY Aadhaar section and click on “Update Your Aadhaar”. After this you have to click on “Demographics Data Online”. As soon as you click, the Self Service Update Portal will open in front of you. Here you have to select the column for changing the address in Aadhaar. After this, you have to click on “Address” and then click on “Proceed”. After this you will see your old address and you will have to fill some personal information below and also upload a valid document. After this you will be asked to make a payment to change the address. For which you will have to pay 50 rupees.
Preview the address once again and then submit it finally. After this, you will get an update request number i.e. URN, with the help of which you can check the status on the UIDAI website. After this, an OTP will come on your registered mobile number, after entering it, your request will be approved.
Change address from electricity bill
Let us tell you that among the documents that will be asked from you for changing the address, you will have to choose the option of electricity bill. After this, you will be sent the address of your nearest Aadhaar correction center and you will also be given the time and date on which you have to reach there. While going there, take your new electricity bill with you. Within 10 days of completion of the process there, your address will be changed in the Aadhaar card.
This is an offline process
You can also apply offline to change the address in your Aadhaar card. For this, you will have to go to your nearest bank where Aadhaar update related work is done. From there you will be given a form, in which you will have to fill all the information asked. After this, you will have to go to your councilor or ward member with this form. After getting this form attested from there, you will have to submit this form in the bank along with one of your photos and necessary documents. Within 10 days of submission, the address in your Aadhaar card will be changed.
